How to use our WhatsApp service…

To use the service you can either scan the QR code, click the button above, or send a message to 07824 708897. You will be connected to one of our helpline team. 

WhatsApp will only be accessed during office hours, Monday to Friday, 10am – 4pm. During these hours the helpline team will reply to you as soon as they can.  

Please do not send images to our WhatsApp service. 

The service is intended for those aged 18 and over. 

What questions do our helpline team answer?

Our team are not healthcare professionals, therefore cannot diagnose nor give medical advice. The team provide help, information, and emotional support where needed. You can talk to our helpline about anything MS related, whether it is about managing your multiple sclerosis (MS) symptoms, accessing benefits, or simply just to chat. 

Can I contact the helpline via WhatsApp outside of office hours?

After 4pm weekdays and during the weekend, WhatsApp will not be monitored. Our team will aim to reply to messages received during these times on the next working day (not including England’s Bank Holidays).

Can I call you via WhatsApp?

Our helpline team will not accept calls to WhatsApp. If you would prefer to have a conversation you can call our freephone number 0800 783 0518. There is a voicemail service if there is no one available. We will always call back within three working days.

What happens to my messages?

A week after a chat has ended, we will delete the conversation from our records.

he conversation will no longer be visible to our helpline, but the message thread will still be visible to you in your WhatsApp account. It will be your choice whether you decide to delete or archive this.

WhatsApp is a third-party service and MS-UK cannot accept any liability for data held by WhatsApp or breaches of that data. Messages are end-to-end encrypted, meaning no one outside of the chat, not even WhatsApp, can read them.
