New Pathways magazine

Editor's letter

Welcome to the March/April issue of New Pathways. Finally spring is in the air, and if you’re looking to get out and about more for exercise, Dr Gretchen Hawley has some great advice on how to choose the right mobility aid for you.

On page 10, Ian Cook delves deep into the latest study which suggests almost all cases of MS could be triggered by the Epstein-Barr virus, including recounting his own encounter with the virus as a child.

Reader Nigel Bartram shares an online ‘brain gym’ he’s found very helpful in improving cognition, and of course we have all of your usual news, views and more to get stuck into.

What is New Pathways?

New Pathways is our bi-monthly magazine. Available in print, audio version, large print and digitally via the My MS-UK app, New Pathways is full of the latest MS news regarding trials, drug development and research as well as competitions, special offers and product reviews.

We also like to share your stories and experiences of living with MS. The magazine offers you the opportunity to reach out to thousands of other people living with MS. If you’re looking for support or even have a question, New Pathways readers will be there to offer their advice, experience and support.

We also know that knowledge is power and in a bid to help you take control of your condition we offer a variety of articles each issue, which address a variety of subjects from exercise and diet, to symptoms and cannabis use to name a few. More importantly, there are no taboo subjects: if the subject is important to you we will explore it.
