Black Hope Tattoos MS-UK Fundraiser

Meet the funky fundraisers of Black Hope Tattoos

Kim Boulton, manager of Black Hope Tattoo in Colchester, Essex, explains their cool idea to raise money for MS-UK!

Black Hope Tattoos is owned by renowned tattoo artists Pinky Darling and Red Wright.

When we opened the studio, one of the things that was really important to us was helping the local community with fundraising. So, we put our heads together and we thought the best way to do that was by offering our services and giving all our amazing customers the chance to have a tattoo for charity.

Our first charity day back in 2018 was a roaring success and we’ve only grown from there. Now we have six amazing artists and they all work so hard to tattoo as many of you as possible. Last year they did 81 tattoos between them, and we raised over £4,500! We have loads of returning customers who enjoy supporting us and really love the atmosphere. It’s always great fun and the whole team looks forward to it.

This year, on Saturday 5 August, we have decided to support two great local causes, MS-UK and The Anti Loo Roll Brigade. We have decided on these as they are both based in Colchester and have the community at heart, which is what we are all about.

Tattoos for charity

Prices of tattoos will range from £40-£60. We will be doing a sheet of pre-drawn designs, the same as last year.

We will be operating on a first-come, first-served basis and our doors will open at 9am. We will be giving out numbered tickets to each person. We will call you around 30-45 minutes before we’re ready for your appointment so please stay local!

There will be a maximum limit of three tattoos per person, and only arms and legs can be tattooed on the day.

Pinky, Red, Alan, Katie, Reece and Ellie will be tattooing all day and we hope to get as many of you in as we can. We would advise getting here as early as possible so you don’t miss out as last year we had over 50 of you in the queue by 8.30am!
