‘I can’t tell you how happy it’s made me!’Published: 10 June 2022 Firstly, if it wasn’t for my dear friend Sally-Ann’s encouragement, I wouldn’t have even signed up to this challenge as I didn’t think I’d be any good at it. If you don’t try though you don’t know do you, so here we are! Sally-Ann and I have been brought together through multiple sclerosis (MS) and now we just could not be without each other. Leading similar journeys through MS, we talk every day, and we are as nutty as each other. We became team Nutty Squirrels! Between us we raised money and awareness by doing some fitness for My MS Marathon in July 2021! I also did 26 crafts throughout the month of July and sold these at the end and donated the proceeds to MS-UK. My personal target was £100, and I really didn’t think I would get even near that total. Then before I knew it, people started donating! It was a real learning experience too. It’s pushed me hard actually and it really has been a challenge, but absolutely 100% worth it. The amount raised is amazing and I was so overwhelmed by people’s generosity and support. I was just so happy, it’s so rewarding! Between us, we managed to raise over £500!
