Lewis raises money in honour of his nan

My name is Lewis and I am 16 years old. Two years ago I sadly lost my nan who was a big part of my life. Since then, my life started to take a downward spiral and I wasn’t dealing with things in the best way.

So at Christmas, I decided it was time to turn my life around and that I would put my energy into something worthwhile. I have always wanted to do a skydive, ever since I was young, so when I saw that MS-UK had a National Skydiving Day I grabbed the opportunity with both hands. Doing a skydive for MS-UK is exactly what I wanted to do.

My wonderful nan didn’t have multiple sclerosis (MS) herself, but two of her best friends have it and unfortunately, we lost one of them because of it. This is why fundraising for MS-UK means so much to me and my family. I will be doing this skydive in honour of my lovely nan and her friends that meant so much to her.

So far, I have raised over £400 for MS-UK. Well, I have had a little help from my mum! We shared my JustGiving page on social media and have been blow away by the number of people that are getting behind me and helping me to raise money. Even though I have reached my fundraising target, I’m not going to stop. I want to raise as much money as I can and help to spread the word about MS-UK.

Here is my fundraising page if anyone else would like to support me! https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/hayley-ketley
