Digital Marketing Executive (SEO & Google Ads)

We are looking for a website and Google Ads specialist, who has experience in website development, SEO and paid search to join the MS-UK dynamic communications team. You will help implement the charity’s strategic aims for its brand, marketing, information and engagement.

We are looking for someone who is driven and excited by digital communications. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our website, SEO and paid search.

You will have proven experience in building and working with WordPress websites and plug-ins. Skills in Google Analytics and SemRush to track performance and respond accordingly are also needed.

Experience in Search Engine Optimisation strategy and implementation, as well as a good writing style and attention to detail, are all a must.

We also require someone confident in the world of paid search who can help grow and improve what we currently do, particularly with Google Ads. Knowledge of Google Ads Grants is favourable.

You will have a proven track record of using SEO and paid search and be able to work strategically to complement our campaigns and marketing objectives.

Your keen interest in the latest trends, algorithms, policies and industry standards will ensure we are always best positioned for the future.

You must also be experienced in data analysis to provide comprehensive reporting that will inform everything we do. You must be an analytical thinker and a champion of data. You must have at least two years of experience in a similar role. Working to deadlines is an essential part of this position. You must be confident in managing your workload and motivating others to work to these deadlines with you. We would welcome someone willing to hit the ground running.

This position is a full-time role, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm (hybrid up to 2 days at home). The successful candidate will be required to start as soon as possible.

Salary £28,000-£34,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Digital content apprentice

MS-UK is a national charity supporting people affected by multiple sclerosis (MS). We provide trusted information, emotional support, community connection and opportunities that help people live life in a way that feels right for them. The voices of people living with MS shape everything we do.

Role purpose

This apprenticeship will support the launch and growth of MS-UK’s TikTok channel, alongside our wider digital channels. The apprentice will learn how to create short form video content that raises awareness of MS, supports fundraising, and helps people affected by MS find MS-UK services. The role offers structured learning, hands on experience, and close support from the communications and marketing team.

What the apprentice will learn

  • How to plan and create short form video content for TikTok and other social media platforms
  • How to film, edit and publish videos using mobile tools
  • How to write inclusive, accessible captions and add subtitles
  • How to adapt content for different social media platforms
  • How to communicate about health topics in a clear and respectful way
  • How to follow brand, safeguarding and accessibility guidance
  • How to review content performance and learn from insights

Key duties

  • Support the planning and delivery of social media content
  • Film and edit short videos using a smartphone
  • Upload content with captions and accessibility features
  • Help share stories about MS-UK services, fundraising and community support
  • Repurpose video content for other social channels
  • Monitor comments and flag anything sensitive or concerning
  • Work closely with the communications and marketing team

Support and training

  • Day to day support from experienced staff
  • Time allocated for off the job training
  • Regular check ins and feedback
  • A supportive environment with clear guidance and supervision

Person specification

Essential

  • Interest in social media and digital content
  • Comfortable using a smartphone and social media apps
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Respectful and thoughtful approach to sensitive topics
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Desirable

  • Some experience creating videos or social content
  • Interest in health, wellbeing or the charity sector
  • Awareness of accessibility on social media
