Portal subscription terms of use

General terms

  1. Your subscription commences on completion of the registering process via MS-UK’s My Portal registration page
  2. If you are joining on a ‘standard subscription’ type, there is no expiry period and your subscription will remain active until cancelled by you
  3. ‘Monthly’ and ‘annual’ subscriptions will run for a calendar month or calendar year respectively from the date of commencing your subscription
  4. The first month’s subscription fee is collected by debit / credit card at the time of registration. Annual subscription fee for the year is collected by debit / credit card at the time of registration
  5. Subsequent payments for both monthly and annual subscriptions are collected one calendar month / year respectively on the date of registration if the ‘Auto renew’ option is ticked on registration. You can change the ‘Auto-renew’ option at aby time in the ‘My subscription’ area. No subsequent payment will be collected if ‘Auto renew’ is not selected
  6. You can opt ‘in’ or ‘out’ of auto renew payment option at any time by visiting the ‘My subscription’ area of My Portal
  7. There is no initial or regular fee for the standard subscription option. Instead, you can provide a donation amount per online session you attend
  8. You can upgrade or downgrade your subscription at any time by visiting My Portal found in the ‘My subscriptions’ area
  9. You will be entitled to all the privileges for the type of subscription you have chosen. Entitlements of subscriptions can be found by going to the webpage https://www.ms-uk.org/online-activities
  10. Your subscription is non-transferrable and personal to you

Subscriptions

If we need to increase the amount of the subscriptions, we will give you at least three full months’ notice. During this period, you will be able cancel your subscription or change your subscription level. If you do not cancel the subscription by the date given to you in the notice, the amount of your subscription will be increased in accordance with our notice.

Monthly and annual subscriptions

You can cancel your ‘Auto renew’ subscription at any point of your subscription period. To do this, visit My portal and change preferences in the ‘My subscription’ area and select the ‘Upgrade or change your subscription’ option. Alternatively, you can contact us on 01206 226500 or register@ms-uk.org to discuss cancellation

Miscellaneous terms

  1. Subscribers must be 18 years or older
  2. By completing the registration process it confirms you have read our health_screening_questionnaire and sought medical advice where appropriate, before participating in physical activity online. To the best of your knowledge exercise is not detrimental to your health, safety or physical condition. If your health changes, you must consult a health practitioner immediately before continuing with exercise-based activities online
  3. Our contributors, presenters, teachers and instructors (in the most part) are not medically qualified so if you have any doubts about your health or capability to exercise, you must seek advice from a doctor first
  4. MS-UK aims to provide a safe online space for you to meet other people living with multiple sclerosis. It is important that every person who joins us online is met with compassion and understanding. To ensure this, we ask that you respect others’ views and opinions take care not to make comments that are discriminatory or may cause offence
  5. Safeguarding – In the event that someone discloses information about themselves that is a cause for concern, please contact the office on 01206 226500 or email info@ms-uk.org and a member of staff will follow the MS-UK Safeguarding procedure

If you are unable to make donations or your circumstances change and you are unable to pay your subscription any more, please do contact us by emailing register@ms-uk.org or calling the office on 01206 226500 so we can discuss your options. It is important to us that anyone affected by MS can access any of our services.
