MS, Walking and balance masterclass (Part 2)

Women in a park walking with MS

Friday 08 December at 2:30pm

Following on from our last masterclass in November on MS and Walking, Alan Pearson will be back in December to bring together these two very important topics on walking and balance. If you missed the masterclass on MS and walking, you can watch the recording by visiting the portal

In this session, we aim to empower individuals to take an active role in managing their mobility challenges through targeted exercises focused on walking and balance. Alan will provide practical demonstrations, share success stories of others and emphasise the importance of a targeted approach with exercise, so participants can leave with actionable insights to improve walking and balance in their daily lives.

Balance forms an integral part of being able to walk safely, efficiently and with confidence, so in this session Alan will be taking us through specific exercises which aim to improve balance and the overall quality of walking.

We will explore how you can design a personalised exercise program for your needs to improve walking, with the emphasis on incorporating aerobic, resistance, flexibility and the important balance style exercises to target issues when you are mobilising.

We will discuss how you can create sustainable exercise habits into daily life and overcoming common barriers to being consistent, plus tips for maintaining motivation and establishing sustainable exercise habits.

The session will finish with question and answers for an opportunity for you to put your questions to Alan and share experiences.

As always, Alan will deliver the session in an enjoyable and informal manner. So, come and join us on Friday 08 December at 2:30pm.
