Accessible lipstick launch coming from L’Oréal

Beauty brand L’Oréal has unveiled a new technology prototype that will allow people with limited hand and arm mobility to easier access lipstick application.

Aimed at anyone with limited fine motor skills – something that can be affected with multiple sclerosis (MS) – HAPTA will allow 360 degrees of rotation and 180 degrees of flexation when a lipstick is placed in a gimbal.

There are still some tweaks being made and the company says the product will launch with the Lancôme brand this year, although this is likely to be in December. The company says it will also be making a version for people who have tremors in their hands.
