In our next information session on mobility aids, Dr Gretchen Hawley will discuss the different options available to support safe walking. This is a topic we are often asked about, with many people wondering when it’s the right time to start using a mobility aid and how to choose the one best suited to them.

A quick search online reveals a wide variety of walking aids, which can make the decision overwhelming. In this session, Dr Gretchen will explain how to compare different aids by weighing their pros and cons, and why one option may be better for your needs than another.

We’ll also cover how to adjust mobility aids for comfort, efficiency, and injury prevention, before moving on to a step-by-step guide to using them correctly, helping you avoid bad habits and stay safe.
