Make a difference this holiday season
As the festive season approaches, it’s the perfect time to spread joy and support MS-UK by taking part in some exciting festive fundraising activities! Whether you’re into knitting, running, quizzing, or baking, there’s a festive way for everyone to get involved this Christmas. Here are some cheerful fundraising ideas to help you make an impact
Gather your knitting needles and cosy up by the fire! Whether you’re a seasoned knitter/crocheter or just getting started, create Christmas-themed scarves, hats, or ornaments to sell or gift in exchange for donations. Get creative with your designs – think Santa hats, snowflakes, and reindeer patterns. Host a virtual knitting circle, or have a stall at your local Christmas Market.
Dress up as Santa and get moving! Organise a Santa run in your local area or join one of our events. Whether it’s a full marathon or a quick festive jog, encourage your friends, family, and colleagues to sponsor your run and help raise vital funds for MS-UK. Dress up in your most festive attire—Santa hats, elf costumes, and Christmas jumpers are all welcome—and get ready to spread some holiday cheer!
Put your festive knowledge to the test with a Christmas-themed quiz night. Gather friends and family (virtually or in-person) for an evening of fun and trivia, with rounds on everything from Christmas movies to holiday traditions. Charge a small fee for entry, offer prizes for the winners, and watch the donations snowball. Add in some extra fundraising fun by auctioning off homemade treats or festive hampers!
Christmas baking is a classic way to raise funds while indulging in delicious treats. Whip up festive favourites like mince pies, gingerbread cookies, or yule logs, and host a bake sale at work, school, or within your community. Alternatively, host an online bake sale. Use your social media platforms and online marketplaces to organize a virtual bake sale. You can post pictures of your baked goods, set prices, and arrange for delivery or pickup.
Get your most outlandish Christmas jumper out and encourage others to do the same! Host a Christmas Jumper Day at work, school, or among friends – with each participant donating to wear their wackiest sweater. You could even add a contest element, with prizes for the most creative, ugly, or festive jumper.
It takes a special kind of person to shave their head, and if you’re up for the challenge then why not raise money for a good cause. So brave the shave for MS-UK.
These activities are not only great fun but are a wonderful way to give back during the holidays. By joining in or creating your own event, you’re helping MS-UK continue to support people affected by multiple sclerosis.
If you don’t have time to fundraise you can always donate to the charity as a gesture of festive goodwill.
Let’s make this Christmas magical for everyone – get involved, raise some cheer, and spread the festive spirit far and wide!
