5 reasons to call the MS-UK Helpline

1. You don’t have to have MS yourself

At MS-UK, we are here to help everyone affected by multiple sclerosis (MS). You might have a family member, a friend, or you care for someone with MS – whatever your connection, you can call the MS-UK Helpline.

2. We provide emotional support

Our Helpline staff are trained and experienced in helping with all aspects of living with MS. We know how much a long-term health condition can affect day-to-day life, and sometimes you just need to speak to someone who understands. That’s what we are where for – give us a call.

3. We can help you find the right help

We can ‘signpost’ you to the right help, whether that’s a different helpline that has expertise in your specific query, or even a local service in your area who will be able to help you. Our trained officers know how to track down the right help for you.

4. We won’t tell you what to do

But what we will do is provide you with great information so you can make a properly informed decision that’s right for you.

5. We can introduce you to our other services

We have a range of Choices booklets, written by us, which cover things like diets and supplements for MS, MS and mental health, MS treatments, and complementary therapies for MS. You can download these from our website or order printed version and they are a great resource to show friends and family wanting to read up on your condition.

We offer e-learning courses for MS, so if you’re a health professional with a person with MS on your books, or perhaps and employer looking at how best to support an employee with MS, our course will get you up to speed.

There is also MS-UK’s online services. Whether it’s exercise classes for MS, mindfulness courses or even chair yoga, you’ll find something to help kick-start your wellness journey.

No one else understands what it’s like living with MS quite as well as others with the condition. That’s why our Peer Support Service is so popular. Read about what it’s like to join a Peer Pod to meet others here.
