MS and work online support

Introducing the new MS and Work Peer Pod!

MS-UK is excited to introduce our brand new MS and Work Peer Pod to our peer support service. This is for those who are living with multiple sclerosis (MS) and still working, in whatever profession.

Work-life balance is important for everyone and working with a long-term health condition can be challenging, so this pod aims to provide a space where people can connect for mutual support and encouragement, share tips and strategies for coping well in the workplace and generally chat with others who understand.

Meet your host

Hi, I’m Glenda and I live in Wiltshire with my husband and three teenagers (fondly known as the ‘threenagers’). I am a full-time wheelchair user and full-time Head of Services for a local sight loss charity. I was diagnosed with relapsing remitting MS a month after my daughter was born in 2006 and have had secondary progressive MS since 2019. After telling my MS-UK counsellor that I wanted to meet others who were still working, I swiftly found myself talking about an idea for a new peer pod – and well here I am!

What is a Peer Pod?

The MS-UK Peer Support Service has been developed to create an online community for people living with MS to connect with others that share a common interest, in a positive and supportive space.

If you would like to be a part of the Peer Support service and get involved with MS and Work or another one of our Peer Pods then please click the button below. Once you’ve filled out the contact form, our Peer Support coordinator Vicky will be in touch soon let you know more about the service.
