Dom MS Independence Day

MS Independence Day – Join Dom Thorpe, his team and special guests

‘Hi, I’m Dom Thorpe, and since 2008, I’ve been working with people with multiple sclerosis (MS) to help them achieve greater independence through health and fitness coaching.

‘I do this because my mum had MS when I was growing up, and I watched her health decline – feeling powerless, not knowing what could be done to help.

‘Sadly, in 2012, I lost my mum to MS-related complications. By that point, however, I had already begun working with others affected by MS, helping them improve their physical and mental health through adapted exercise and good nutrition.

‘Since then, my team and I have worked with thousands of people across the globe to help them improve balance and mobility, build strength and confidence, and maintain their independence for longer.

‘For the first time, we’re proud to be hosting MS Independence Day – a live charity event featuring a range of MS experts who will share practical advice on how people with MS can lead better lives and maintain their independence.

‘The event takes place on Saturday 17 May between 10am-4pm at the University of Birmingham, Edgbaston Campus, with a mix of in-person and remote speakers.

‘We hope this will be the first of many events where people with MS can access the most up-to-date insights on exercise, nutrition, mental wellbeing, and treatment options.

‘Guests can attend in person for £66 (refreshments, snacks, lunch and parking included) or virtually. The virtual pass is just £12 and gives you access to,

  • Live streaming access to the full day of talks featuring Dom and guest speakers
  • Access to the recordings of the event

All profits will be donated to MS-UK

‘We’ll also hear from real people living with MS who use health and fitness to manage their condition. Their stories, alongside expert insights, will offer a well-rounded view of how exercise, nutrition, and mental wellbeing can make a real difference when it comes to managing MS.

‘We’re really looking forward to seeing people at the event and we are proud to be donating all profits from the event this year to MS-UK.’
