Join the MS-UK Tower Walk 2026Published: 09 June 2026MS-UK Senior Community Fundraiser, Lucy King, reveals this year’s incredible new way to fundraise in style… Power the tower, 42 floors above the London skylineWhat exactly is it?This year is the fourth year MS-UK are hosting the MS-UK Tower Walk on 04 October 2026, and this year’s fundraising challenge comes with a new level of excitement. We’re climbing an entirely different tower in the heart of the city.Where did the idea come from? The event started in 2023, following a conversation between myself and a man called Steve Thomas, who at the time was volunteering as a Peer Pod Host for MS-UK. He told me he had always dreamed of climbing the Gherkin so after the call I did some research and quickly realised that he must mean climbing the staircase, rather than the outside like Spiderman!I saw that other charities host tower climb events – but not at the Gherkin – so I set about contacting the team there who were super supportive and understanding, allowing us to help Steve achieve his dream of climbing the tower. One thing led to another, and we had snowballed into setting up our very own, incredibly unique event – The MS-UK Tower Walk. What makes 2026 so special? This year we are taking the event to a brand-new tower – Tower 42 – London’s first ever skyscraper and the tallest building in London until 1990. We are challenging people to climb 932 steps and 42 floors to reach the top and take in the views of London like nowhere else. In fact, the stunning views are entirely unobstructed, and you can only access them via our event. We are so excited to grow MS-UK’s series of Tower Walks! The event has now raised almost £65,000 for MS-UK since 2023 and has had 150 participants, something we are so incredibly proud of, especially as it is the only event MS-UK runs without any third-party support. As a completely independent charity, we rely on events like this to enable us to continue being here. Every single pound raised has a huge impact on the work that we do.We want to inspire everyone to take this challenge on, whether you want to try and complete it in five minutes or one hour, we want to enable as many people as possible to achieve something incredible. The views, medal and sense of achievement are worth every step. The event is like no other, we passionately empower people to believe in themselves and achieve something they may not see possible! The fundraising target is just £250, which could help fund several vital helpline conversations, giving people living with MS a safe space to talk, feel heard, and get trusted information when they need it most.We want the 2026 event to be bigger and better than ever before and want to encourage as many people to sign up as possible.Count me in – how do I join in the fun?Just click here and let the fun begin Entries are now open! All you have to do is allow yourself enough time to complete it and take plenty of breaks. There is no time limit, and it is not a race.‘Take your time, take advice on what to wear and make sure you are comfy.‘If you cannot physically take part yourself, then perhaps you could ask family, friends, or colleagues to take on the challenge on your behalf.‘Whatever your involvement, the most important thing is to enjoy yourself and be part of something amazing.‘I would encourage you to take part to see so many amazing people all helping to ensure that people living with MS are supported in as many ways as possible. Even if you do not complete it, at least you tried.‘On the day you will meet a group of people who are taking on a challenge that is ‘different’. The same people are supportive and are fantastic to speak to regarding why they are raising awareness of MS and much needed funds.‘Help us hit the target and support so many more people with MS.‘I hope to see some of you on the day, or even at the top, and never give up on your dreams.‘I am so pleased that the 4th MS-UK tower walk is at the new venue, Tower 42. The challenge has been to raise awareness of MS and to show people who have MS, if you learn to adjust, you will be able to achieve more than you thought possible. Meeting with the team at Tower 42, I believe this will be a fantastic event.‘I am genuinely so excited and can only thank everyone involved who has made this possible”.Plus…Every person that signs up will receive an MS-UK t-shirt to wear during their challenge and will be rewarded with an exclusive medal once their climb is conquered!Read more about other ways you can help with fundraising for MS-UK hereOther Stories You May Be Interested In...Published on: 6th July 2026 BlogFollowing in Royal footsteps, five brave women take on National Three Peaks challengeView articlePublished on: 6th July 2026 Blog‘I once ran two marathons in a week, now I’m taking on MS-UK’s The Tower Walk Ultra’View articlePublished on: 3rd July 2026 BlogManage MS with the power of mindfulnessView article
