Healthcare practitioners needed to join MS fatigue app trial

In one of our recent blogs, we shared some exciting information about the potential of the UK based research programme REFUEL-MS. The programme’s aim is to develop an app that supports people with MS to manage the impact of fatigue.

In our blog we explained that the next step in the REFUEL-MS development process is the launch of a clinical trial. This will involve almost 400 people with MS who will be supported by healthcare professionals throughout.

The REFUEL-MS team are now looking for up to eight UK-registered health care practitioners to join them. The post-holder will be a UK-registered physiotherapist, occupational therapist, health psychologist or nurse with relevant experience of working with people with MS (pwMS) or a related condition. It is an opportunity to be involved in a new and rewarding challenge in clinical research.

The successful candidates will be given specialist training to provide virtual support to a caseload of pwMS allocated to use REFUEL-MS, through the upcoming randomised control trial beginning in April 2025. This will be undertaken via appointments and online support. They will be provided with relevant supervision at King’s College London and professional oversight from Guy’s and St Thomas’s NHS Foundation Trust.

If you are a healthcare professional and wish to find out more about this opportunity, and how to apply, visit the King’s College London website.
